I have a bad digestion , Candida it is 40 percent although I don’t eat yeast products and have little sugar, also I have a allergy to milk, I cannot get rid of bad breath it is ruining my life, my dentist said its not my teeth, I’ve had this problem for 6 years and it just gets worse. I read it could be leaky gut syndrome, can you give me some advice, I have thought about a colonic.
Answer:
Halitosis (bad breath) is a common condition and is estimated to affect up to 65% of the population.
Most cases are related to poor oral hygiene which in your case has been ruled out by your dentist. Other causes of bad breath are infections associated with peptic ulcers, lung infections, kidney or liver disease, diabetes mellitus and cancer.
Problems with saliva flow can also cause bad breath; this tends to concentrate the bacteria in the mouth and worsens bad breath. Medications such as antihistamines, diuretics, antidepressants can contribute to poor saliva flow. To improve saliva flow, drink a glass of citrus juice or eat fruit first thing in the morning and drink plenty of mineral water through out the day at least two litres. Avoid drinking alcohol as this tends to dry the mouth, it’s ironical as many commercial mouthwashes have alcohol in them.
Green tea and peppermint tea contain properties that can reduce and suppress the chemicals that cause bad breath.
Bad breath is one of the symptoms of Candida and it could well be your faulty digestive system which is causing your bad breath. I would recommend consulting a good nutritional therapist to help you correct your digestive system.
You mentioned that you have thought about having a colonic, colonic therapy is excellent for curing a number of health complaints. If you do not mind the embarrassment factor that goes along with colonic therapy, then I feel it would benefit you. I do recommend though, that you consult a proper qualified colonic therapist. If the idea of having a colonic is not for you, you can always consult a good nutritional therapist who will help you with diet and supplements to detox your bowel. This will give you the same health benefits as a colonic but you will have to be disciplined to follow the strict diet.
