The bright red fruit has been used for medicinal purposes for centuries.
The white seeds of the cayenne fruit contain steroidal saponins called capsicidins which contain capsaicin (capsicum).
Cayenne is also popular in many culinary dishes. It adds a spicy heat to curry and Mexican dishes.
Is It True That Cayenne Is A Psoriasis Remedy?

Cayenne is not a psoriasis remedy but capsaicin which is present in cayenne is used in many psoriasis skin care products.
Capsaicin relieves itching and pain associated with psoriasis by reducing neurotransmitters from sensory nerves.
Double-blind trials have show that by applying capsaicin cream to the skin, that both skin lesions and itching associated with psoriasis are relieved.
How Do You Apply Capsaicin Cream To Your Skin?
When you first apply capsaicin cream to your skin, you will experience a burning sensation.
This is quiet normal the first few times the capsaicin cream is applied to your skin and tends to diminish over time.
