It could Be Your Lucky Day
Well luckily there are a few…
First, you can avoid foods which are known to cause allergic reaction, so basically we are talking about wheat and dairy products… they are two biggies!
Next, keeping on the theme of wheat… try to keep to a gluten free diet and exclude yeast products from your diet.
Sugar and fast foods are also two big ‘no-no’s for the ulcerative colitis sufferer… I know they are very tasty, but they are really no good for you at all!
Fats can also be a problem, we are not only talking about animal fats here, but also artifical fats too… so eliminate those animal fats from your diet and refrain from using margarine spreads.
It Taste Like Lawn Cuttings!
Now, if you’re looking for supplements to help you… try taking aloe vera gel daily for its anti-inflammatory and soothing effects and folic acid supplements to help protect you from colon cancer.
One bonus piece of advice… try drinking wheatgrass juice, it may taste like lawn cuttings, but it’s brilliant at healing ulcers!
There you have it, my ulcerative colitis self help tips, good luck with you mission if you choose it!
