Cardiovascular Conditions Addressed
Dr. Ashish Pal addresses a wide range of Cardiovascular health concerns, including:
- Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA): An abdominal aortic aneurysm is a bulge in the main blood vessel that runs through your belly.
- Mitral and Aortic Valve Disorder: Mitral and aortic valve disorder refers to problems with the heart's mitral and aortic valves, which can affect blood flow.
- Thrombosis: Blood clots, also known as thrombi, can form within the circulatory system, reducing blood flow to vital organs.
- Hypertension: If you have hypertension, your heart has to work harder to pump blood, potentially leading to long-term health problems.
- Cardiomyopathy: Cardiomyopathy involves damage to the heart muscle, which can result in shortness of breath, fatigue, and other symptoms.
- Atherosclerosis of Aorta: Hardening and narrowing of the aorta from cholesterol and other substances is known as aortic atherosclerosis.
- Venous Embolism and Thrombosis: A venous embolism is a blood clot that has traveled from a vein to the lungs (pulmonary embolism), while venous thrombosis is a blood clot within a vein.
- Leg Ulcer: A leg ulcer is a sore on the leg that doesn't heal easily.
- Aneurysm and Dissection of Heart: Aneurysm and dissection in the heart refer to a dangerous weakening and potential rupture of the heart's muscular layers.
- Aortic Aneurysm: An aortic aneurysm can be asymptomatic, meaning it doesn't cause noticeable symptoms, but can potentially rupture.
- Congestive Heart Failure: With CHF, your heart muscle is weakened, making it difficult for your heart to pump enough blood to supply your body's organs.
- Tricuspid Valve Disease: A diseased tricuspid valve may not seal completely, allowing blood to leak backward, or it may be narrowed, restricting blood flow, both potentially leading to heart problems.
