With over 35 years of dedicated experience in Gastroenterological care, Dr. Etzkorn brings a wealth of clinical knowledge and compassionate care to his patients and their families. He earned his medical degree from the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Medicine and completed his gastroenterology residency and fellowships at the University of Illinois and the University of Texas Health Science Center/MD Anderson Cancer Center, specializing in hepato-biliary medicine. Dr. Etzkorn further developed his expertise in advanced therapeutic procedures, including ERCP, endoscopic ultrasound, and diagnostic laparoscopy, while serving as acting director of the GI endoscopy lab at the University of Illinois in Chicago. He is Board Certified in Gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is Chairman of the Department of Gastroenterology at Baptist Medical Center. Dr. Etzkorn is also the Director of the Borland-Groover Clinical Research Foundation. He offers consultations in German and is committed to providing exceptional care in state-of-the-art facilities.
